The Remote Sensing Center at The University of Alabama invites applications for a non tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Specifically, we are interested in candidates with specializations in signal processing application to radar, LIDAR, and other sensors; microwave remote sensing with emphasis on algorithms and data analysis; and sensor development and design for snow, moisture, ice, and other targets. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering, or a closely related field, by the date of appointment and must show the potential to establish a quality research program and collaborate effectively with other faculty.

Established in 1831, The University of Alabama currently enrolls over 37,000 students and employs over 2,000 full and part-time faculty members in thirteen colleges and schools. The University offers an impressive array of academic programs leading to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees and a growing number of educational opportunities through distance learning technology. The College of Engineering is comprised of seven academic departments with over 6,000 students, and the College will be home to more than 150 tenure/tenure-track faculty following the current search.
