Closely involved in the geospatial software development and will collaborate on the empirical research applications.
In consultation with the project leadership, they will collect and organize data into data base systems, design, run and interpret the results of spatial statistical procedures,
Design and implement spatial decision support systems
Participate in the writing of reports and scholarly publications, and presents results in scholarly meetings and other public fora
Provide analytic training and support for stakeholders through community management, research blog supervision, and by conducting training sessions.
Support identifying areas vulnerable to both COVID and the opioid epidemic, and then making insights both available and accessible to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support. Has general awareness in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field
Performs other related work as needed.
Bachelorâ™s degree in Geography, Economics, Computer Science, or related disciplineÂ
Graduate-level work in statistics and spatial analysis
Substantial quantitative expertise in geospatial and statistical methodology as well as in (geo-)computation.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience, including examples of successful communication of analytic insights to a wide variety of business and community stakeholders.
Familiarity with principles of spatial statistical analysis and their implementation in open source software, extensive knowledge of Python programming and GeoDa, PySAL, R, and PostGIS software.
Ability to train others
