Position Function: Research Faculty in the Social Science Research center hold non-tenure track, time-limited positions. There are three levels of faculty appointment: Assistant Research Professor, Associate Research Professor, and Research Professor. Promotion is based on performance and demonstrated competence. These positions are contingent on the availability of funding. Salary Grade: UC Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Department Profile: The Social Science Research Center is a 70 year old organization with a fully developed interdisciplinary program. For more information please visit our website and www.ssrc.msstate.edu Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform, direct and/or coordinate research activities in compliance with the terms of the grant/contract. In addition, the following is appropriate at each level. Preferred Qualifications: Research/application experience in one or more of the following areas: the social sciences, health or health policy.
