Department: Center for Spatial Information Science & Systems (CSISS) Web Announcement: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Agro-Geoinformatics The George Mason University, Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) invites applications for a full-time Post-doctoral Research Fellow position in agro-geoinformatics. We seek a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to conduct research on agricultural applications and decision support with remote sensing and GIS technologies. This position is initially for one year with possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding availability. Responsibilities: The incumbent will be primarily involved in several ongoing research projects funded by NASA and NSF. Duties for the position include mapping land cover/use and in-season crop, monitoring crop condition and progress, estimating crop yields, developing web-service-based agricultural decision support system, and publishing results in journals and conferences.
