Adjunct Faculty - Geographical Information Systems

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for our part-time adjunct faculty pool for Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Potential areas of need may be in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing, ground trothing, workflows and other related topics. This position is considered a temporary, part-time position used to fill both online and in person courses. Applicants accepted for online course assignments will be required to complete a Faculty Certification Training Program for Online Instructors and meet (online or in-person) with a member of the distance learning staff. When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation. Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials. Provides instruction to students in the particular areas of GIS. To include photogrammetry, remote sensing, ground trothing, workflows and other related topics. Prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress. Utilizes approved online course templates and syllabus format, maintains, classroom order and discipline. Completes/utilizes course assessments, no show reporting and starfish intervention. Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited association. 3-5 years of experience in discipline area.
