Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides data and GIS instruction and support services to NIEHS Center members
Research support in the area of geospatial data, GIS, spatial analysis, statistics, and data visualization in collaboration with the GCMC team
Work in partnership with other members of the NIEHS Center to provide data collection technologies and support
Serves as the liaison between the NIEHS Center and the Center for Geographic Analysis
Creates and executes data management standards and plans
Performs other duties as assigned
PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of 2 years from date of hire, with the possibility of extension.

4+ years of related experience required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience with R or related software required
Bachelors Degree in computer science, geographic information science, geography, urban planning or related field is strongly preferred
Masters Degree in a related field is a strong plus
Experience with Microsoft Office strongly preferred
Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS or related software strongly preferred
Relates to others, personable, and works well as part of a team preferred
Collaborates with individuals from various backgrounds and fields of expertise preferred
Attention to detail and precision preferred
Effective independent contributor, and completes work in a timely manner preferred
