Position SummaryA research associate, postdoctoral, position is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. The successful candidate will work in the area of hydrology and water resources using global land surface models such as the latest version of the Community Land Model (CLM5), and potentially climate models such as CESM. Specific tasks include development of schemes to simulate the dynamics of human-water-climate interactions in these models and conduct numerical experiments to examine the historical changes and assess future climate impacts over continental to global scales, with an emphasis on irrigation and groundwater.
