The department has a rich tradition of producing outstanding trainees. Currently 89 students are enrolled in our master’s and doctoral degree programs. The depart...ment, school, and university provide a strong collaborative environment for interdisciplinary team science across the public health research continuum. More information about ASPH and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics can be found at www.sph.sc.edu.
The Big Data Health Science Center (BDHSC) was funded by the UofSC Excellence Initiative in 2019. The BDHSC will serve as a campus-wide interdisciplinary enterprise that conducts leading edge research and discovery, offers professional development and academic training, and provides service to the community and industry. There are five content cores in the BDHSC (electronic health core, genomic core, bio-nanomaterials core, geospatial core, and social media core) with the participation of more than 40 faculty members across 19 departments and 10 colleges at UofSC.
