The Program Aide is a temporary summer position responsible for providing assistance to assigned scientists with laboratory work.
Assist in satellite data acquisition and processing, and generating daily, monthly, and/or annual average spatial maps for a selected parameter such as soil moisture, evapotranspiration, vegetation index, and rainfall collection.
Assist in fieldwork and laboratory work and analysis as required.
Assist in analyzing remote sensing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
No prior work experience required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate to advance skill in programming languages such as Fortran, C, C++, MATLAB or comparable skills.
Strong interest in modeling, spatial data analysis, science, mathematics, engineering, and computer or in related areas.
