Applicants should have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Geography, Cartography, or related field, plus 1-2 years practical experience with data conversion and use of ESRI ArcGIS software is required. An understanding of remote sensing and cartography principles is a plus. The applicant also must have a strong proficiency with computers, experience and knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office suite is required, as well as, a comprehension of AutoCAD and GPS (Global Positioning System) data collection units and software. The applicant will, and be able to, express themselves effectively in writing and/or verbally to other company employees, customers, and coop members. A knowledge of electrical distribution and telecommunication utility standards and practices is a plus, but not required.
