A Researcher 5 is needed to help develop new proposed research ideas, accelerate research products of the team, and oversee a small group of PhD students under the supervision of Dr. Ardeshir Ebtehaj. The responsibilities are almost exclusively scientific and consist of working on projects related to hydrology and soil sciences with emphasis on developing modern methodologies for better understanding of hydrologic water cycle using remote sensing data.

Advance the science of soil and snow remote sensing
Work on projects related to remotes sensing of soil moisture and snow-cover in visible and microwave bands
S/he is expected to work as part of a team including undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students, and be involved in training of new personnel
Independently analyze data

Work on publications and grant proposals with the PI and other members of the lab
Co-supervise graduate students under the supervision of the PI
PhD in hydrology, soil sciences and remote sensing with at least 6 years of experience or terminal degree plus at least 3 years of experience.
