The Department of Geography, Planning and Environment (GPE) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Geography with expertise in geospatial data analysis and human geography at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 12, 2019. We seek an individual who applies geospatial data science to advance a vibrant, externally-funded research program. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in GIS, quantitative methods, human geography, and the candidate's area of specialty. Advising of undergraduate and graduate students is also expected.
ECU seeks to create an environment that fosters the recruitment and retention of a more diverse student body, faculty, staff, and administration. To promote the university's diversity goal, GPE values diversity and strongly encourages applications from women, people of color, and historically underrepresented groups.
