Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the Enterprise GIS Manager, the incumbent will apply their thorough knowledge of the ArcGIS suite of products and their advanced programming skills to assist with the design, development, implementation, maintenance and management of geospatial applications through concept, design, and implementation phases. Provides oversight of third party support, development of policies and procedures, and management of data resources. Coordinates the control and maintenance of back-end operation tasks to ensure currency and optimal performance of the GIS. Reviews and tests software components, add-ons and applications. Writes and maintains extensive documentation explaining software function, development environment for developers, and user guides explaining software utilization. Advises management on software development schedules and costs, project implementation, and system capabilities. Keeps up with current and future technologies and advises of upcoming changes that may affect architecture and systems. Responsible for Hardware/Software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, training GIS Assistants and/or new employees. Consults with senior level staff and departmental managers as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
Five years of experience in GIS programming; experience with AutoCAD, Revit and other Autodesk products in addition to developing plug-ins and add-ons; proficient with FME, Splunk, and/or C# and .NET programming languages; knowledge of Oracle Spatial or SQL scripting (PLSQL & TSQL); knowledge of network modeling, linear referencing, and dynamic segmentation in ArcGIS; concepts associated with university management such as planning, engineering, utility networks, parks and recreations, public safety, zoning, etc.
Target Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually
