The Primary Health Care team at Ariadne Labsa joint center between the Harvard Chan School and the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the research group of Dr. Margaret Kruk at the Department of Global Health and Population (GHP) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH), we are creating a co-mentored postdoctoral position between the two research groups. The position would be an official postdoctoral position at HSPH within GHP, along with associate faculty appointment at Ariadne Labs. Supervision would be shared between and Dr. Margaret Kruk and Dr. Asaf Bitton.
Postdoctoral responsibilities include:
The Postdoc will lead and complete research projects on the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative. In addition s/he will conduct research, for the Lancet Commission on High Quality Health Systems, with a focus on Primary Health Care-related research. S/he will oversee research conducted by junior team members, organize and prepare materials for and participate in large multi-disciplinary stakeholder meetings for the Lancet Commission, lead the development of manuscripts, and assist in the development of future funding proposals as necessary. This position is for a 1-year term with the potential to renew for a second year; and limited travel may be required. The fellow would split her/his time between Ariadne Labs (approximately 3 days/wk) and HSPH (approximately 2 days/wk). The two offices are less than a 15 minute walk from each other.

A successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in relevant field such as epidemiology, health systems, global health, or economics. One to three years of successful and increasingly responsible experience in a research-based organization is desirable. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in global health research, primary health care and implementation science; prior international experience strongly preferred. Expert knowledge of relevant statistical programs such as SAS, STATA and/or R is necessary. The successful candidate must also demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively required; experience in managing research studies or research groups is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Stata experience and/or experience dealing with large multilevel datasets preferred.
Geospatial analysis experience is a plus
The ideal candidate will be highly productive working under pressure with time constraints, possess the ability to work independently, with supervision, or in collaboration as a team.
The position requires diplomacy in communications and interpersonal relations. Must possess and present a sense of poised confidence to deal effectively with multiple constituencies and cultural diversity at all levels.
