Responsibilities of the Post-doctoral fellow:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan University, is seeking highly qualified candidates for a postdoctoral position in Water Resources. Under the supervision of the principal investigators, the post-doctoral fellow will be working on a funded research project by New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJDCA) titled ?Impact-Based Decision Making Framework for Community-based Resiliency Planning under Extreme Storm Events?. The desired candidate should have expertise in flood modeling, computational hydrodynamic simulation, GIS/ remote sensing mapping and risk assessment. He/she will be responsible for:
? Managing assigned projects on a daily basis.
? Conducting research and supervising graduate and undergraduate students working on projects.
? Preparing reports and submitting papers for peer reviewed journals.
? Making presentations to sponsors and at conferences.
? Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or relevant research experience.
