Dr. Andrew Finley of the Departments of Forestry and Geography at Michigan State University (http://blue.for.msu.edu) seeks three highly motivated research associates (postdoctoral researchers) to join his lab group. The successful candidates will be expected to manage and analyze large spatio-temporal datasets, develop/implement novel Bayesian statistical models, carry out analyses, and write manuscripts and proposals. Motivating data will come from NSF and USFS/NASA funded projects that aim to assimilate large data sets collected from a variety of remotely sensed platforms and monitoring networks. The NSF funded project will focus on development of modeling frameworks for National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) data (www.neoninc.org) and similar monitoring networks.
These are full-time, 12-month fixed-term positions, with reappointment conditional on satisfactory performance and available funding.
